Anybody have any experience with these towers? I saw they have one for 450 bucks and was considering getting it . Didn't know if they make good towers or not though

I have a big air H20 tower on my 86 comp, works fine, doesn't rattle except for the rings on the pins, but that was taken care of by hammering them in so the rings are pinched on the tubing.

Just be aware that the powder coating is junk, mine was brand new and i done staved up the shit out of the powder coat upon assembly.

In my opinion; If you can get a (first choice) New Dimension or (second Choice)Samson Tower they seem to hold up a lot better. It's a little more $$ up front, but you will be a lot happier 2-3 yrs down the road. I have installed all types of after-market towers and these 2 brand fit better and as said before; "Hold up a LOT longer". From my experience.

I have a Big Air Wake on my boat, I have the "Ice" tower. It is definitly the cheaper model they have, but works well, doesnt rattle, so at this point its all good for me. Here is a picture, hope it works out on whatever model you get!8613

The ice is the one I was lookin at. Honestly I don't want to dump a ton into the accessories on my comp because I prob will not keep it more than 2 years. Do the big airs come with good backing plates? My cap is off so right now would be a good time to modify for a tower

If your cap is off, it would be a good idea to add backing plates, and pretty easy too. Mine are aluminum, but wood, and even some harder plastics will work well. Just be sure the plates will not interfere with the fit of the cap when you re-install it, and round the edge of the plate on the side that sits against the cap, so as not too put stress on the edge and crack the gel.

backing plates were 1/4 thick aluminum I believe. With rubber suppresion pads for added benefit, only one season on my tower, but no signs of cracks or fatigue.
