I just bought my first surpa...a 91 conbrio. I been reading alot of post and it seems like I bought the wrong boat for wakeboarding. However im just starting to really get into the sport and Im 37 yrs old. Dont think im gonna try any flips anytime soon. I only paid $1500 for the boat. I was wondering if you guys could give me any pointers on parts or ideas...Thanks

I think for $1500 you got a steal of a deal.
Just check the floors and strigners for rot. you can get a lot of parts for the boat at www.skidim.com and i think these guys have leads on OEM stuff from guys like Jim @ Viper customs or Don @ Bennett's Repair.

That is a great looking boat so far! What tower is that? Is that wrapped or painted? Congrats on what sounds like a GREAT deal. Not necessarily the best for Wakeboarding but hey, I had a great few seasons learning to board on an outboard 17 foot Four Winns, hardly a "wake" boat yet I had a TON of fun.

basf base/clear...the guy i got it from said he couldnt get it started...so i but it as is. I found a lose starter wire and it fired right up.

i own a paint and body shop so it was cheap lol...but i can tell you i would rather paint cars.

What you paint the boat and install a tower in 72 hours. You couldn't find time for the trailer..... All in all a great find and $ in the bank !!

That would be nice man. I really need to see how its mounted. I have been thinking of a way to slide it in and put quick pins in it so I can slide back out when I get hm and STUFF her in the garage. It will also help on the 113 degree days we have been having.

Now I will be more than happy to welcome you to the forum, and welcome a fellow customizer. But deep down I will have to have a bit of hate for ya. Nothing personal, but anyone who takes a perfectly good boat, and repaints it to look like gravedigger, well I'm sorry, not a fan.

All I can hope is that the black and gray seats burn the girls bikinis off in your boat, and you take pictures. :)

Yeah, its 77 degress out right now and of course Im stuck in the office fixing computers :( but it wouldnt matter anyway cus the boat hasnt come back from the stringer repair shop. This is the first week it has been this warm, so i guess the winter is on its way out.

No they are the same. The grain is just turned the wrong way, one is facing forward and is facing to the rear. You have to be careful anytime you replace carpet to make sure they are facing the wrong way otherwise they will look like a diff color. I found that out tthe hard way. lol. Its a 20 oz, not TO thick and not to thin.

I know it had a bunch of wood trim on it , it was gorgeous. But I have a friend that had a black boat and I know how much work he put into it to keep it looking nice. Not to mention you couldn't touch it on a hot sunny day. And after 25 plus years I think me the right choice.
