Wiring this thing up is so easy.

Everything ties in at the tach.
The only thing that could be a little better is there are two ground wires. Im not sure why they would do that when it could be done internal to clean things up a bit more.

Other than that it is pretty straight forward.

The pp cable connects to the carb then your factory cable connects to that.
Realy simple setup that doesnt let the servo throttle past the operator in put through the lever.

Cool to see the write up, and a system installed on an older boat.

Did you buy the system new from PP or did you piece it together yourself from ebay or something?

Ha guy as I got a great deal on my perfect pass. I was at my boat shop here in Oregon one afternoon. I asked the guys about perfect pass. The owner of the shop said hey I got a great deal for Ya. I sold this stargazer unit to a customer last year. He said there was something wrong with it, he thought the brain was scrambled and didn’t want a mess with it anymore. He could let me have it for half price. After installing it I found that, what was on the screen didn’t match up with the owner’s manual. I messed around with it most of a day. The next morning I got online and found the phone number to perfect pass. The technician I talked to was very informative. After speaking with me for about 3 or 4 minutes he asked me to go out get my boat turn the key on and tell him exactly what the screen said. I could hear the technician smiling on the other end of the phone. He informed me that
somehow the wrong manual had been shipped with the unit. He gave me the website to perfect pass and I downloaded the correct manual. It
works awesome.. PS it has a great digital tack in it.

The folks at pp have been great

Even when I call to order another gps antenna at $265

Sure nobody wants a good mutt only a $1000 just looking to brake even.
