I just came back from a weekend trip to Lake Jocassee. We actually went there with some friends for the baptism of their two kids. It was a beautiful, quiet weekend with family and friends. We took the boats (Saltare and Legacy), and took some rides around the lake. This was the first real run for me after the work this winter and everything worked perfectly. It was a great weekend all the way around.

Yes, it's awesome. I now have a very solid, very dry boat. The only things I have to do now are cosmetic and it's not like it looks derelict right now anyway. I'm really looking forward to the summer!

Oh yeah. Just remembered. I do have a big trailer restoration planned. But let's focus on the boat... the boat is ready!

Super jealous. We are still a good month plus away until our first outing.

Those pics are awesome! I didn't even see the Legacy in the 2nd pic on my phone.

Those are a lot better than this one ....

Damn, that sucks... I must echo everyone else that lives in the northern climates. My am just over 4 weeks away from picking the boat up from storage. It is supposed to be pushing 70 on Wednesday though. Who knows, maybe it's time for the first March water landing in the Amphib ever up this way...

Nice pics! I really like that first one.
That is what I have enjoyed about mine the last few summers...knowing she runs solid and worry free days on the lake.

Mine is torn apart trying to fix upholstery issues (WOM) and re-doing all the teak at the moment.
I had planned to do my trailer this year as well, but have opted for a trip to Alaska for 2 1/2 weeks this summer. Will budget the trailerfor next year as I celebrate the 30th anniversary from date of manufacture.

I thought about you as I trailered over Lake Allatoona this weekend. It looks like they're starting to bring the level back up, so you'll need to have her back together soon! Good call on delaying the trailer work. I'm sure it doesn't need a whole lot anyway.

That's not the type of March picture we were looking for! Sorry man.

You lucky dogs! Not far off here, another month and I'll get her wet!

Gotta love it. When I'm on the water for a few weeks in the summer I may not even drive my truck for a week or two at a time. General store on the water so booze, food, and gas right across the lake! I hop in the boat every morning with my cup of coffee just like I would my car and go across the lake to get the morning paper, do some riding, and fuel up! It's truly the good life, if only for a couple weeks every year.

Lets see some more pics, and hopefully I'll be contributing to next month's thread.

With the temp swings of late I would be leary of pulling anything out just yet, unless it is stored inside. Wish I could add to the action shots....

Well, since it's a little early in the season, I'll shamelessly add a couple more pics from this weekend. I'm sorry to keep showing my boat, but I just never get tired of looking at her.

I KNOW I KNOW... this isn't a Supra.. it's a Mastercraft, I'm sorry! This is a picture of my buddy's boat that I took yesterday before our first ski set of the year. We were skiing on a private ski lake in Mid-Missouri, air temps last night were about 75 and water was at 55. Felt GREAT to get on the water again because this is the first time since I tore some ligaments in my foot last July.

Hey, that's okay, we'll take it. Glad that you've recovered from your injury and are ready to go again.

The Salt's lookin' great, TT! Keep posting em up - helps keep me motivated to finish now that I'm in the home stretch...

Chrisk, there's never a need to apologize for being on a private ski late - ever. Hope the foot's healed up well for you.

Hopefully I'll participate in the May picture thread.

Very nice! Keep the pics coming. I'll be posting in May, also...although I might post some in April when I'm out doing a few water tests.

Mike, is May your personal deadline for getting that Salty ready to go? You've been working on it this whole time right, I'm anxious to see the final product?

It felt so good to be out skiing again, my foot felt real solid so I'm probably overly optimistic about the season.
