Trailer looks to be in rough shape, the boat should turn out really well with some TLC. Only question is floor and stringer condition. For $3,000, it sounds like it will need the stringers and floor redone at some point. That's my two cents on the matter. The comp is a great ski boat though and I love my wake behind it when skiing.

Dont know about buffing out if it runs I will give you your money back out of.

That boat will clean up nice with some time and hard work.

But as Ben said, the floor is probably shot.

Trailer is not factory Supra, plus the cage is missing on the back. As for the boat it looks like it has spent many years in the elements.. The side pannels are too wide and not factory. I know of a Michigan titled Comp in much better condition with a factory trailer plus the interior is 70% new.

Woe she‘s still a virgin no tower. $3000 is a fair buy . The gel coat should polish out nicely with some elbow grease.
Last spring I repainted my trailer in a weekend. I rented one of those big air sand blasters use 100 pounds of sand. All the rust and paint was gone in about 45 minutes. New paint carpet and lights I think I had about $350 invested. And I would definitely have a cage built. You might be able to see how my cage is built from this picture.
A rudder and rudder box costs about 400 bucks. Plus the prop. Good luck and welcome to our form.
