Ok guys the name of the shaft seal i have is a LASDROP and it has a ribbed bellow that makes that seal against the SS round stock ....
question : can i use 1 1/2'' straight rubber and reuse the carbon core that the shaft rides on ?
this seal is similar to PSS but , when i called them to get a new bellow she said 70.00 for just the rubber !!
what can i do ?

i had to get new bellows several years ago. i can't remember how much $ it was. got it from PSS. re-used the collar.
straight rubber won't work. it has to be able to compress a bit or it will be leaky.
