I was wondering if anyone can post pics of their PCM 454 set up for me. I am piecing the engine together and dont know if I am missing parts or where other parts go.
I would also like to see the transmission mounts and 360 degree pics of engine if possible.
Thanks in advance,
Z

Search out the Damper Plate thread. I have quite a few pics of the tranny mounts in there, up close.

Also, DIM has a good picture of the rear mount here:

They had all the rubber bushings I needed to rebuild mine.

This thread averages 22GPH @WOT.... Got to love all those engine transformations from bleak to sheak.

Nice looking cubic inches guys. Maybe all us BB'er should get a Supra group buy together for gas...

Hmmmmm. Makes me want a big block . .Me too, wonder what the comp would be like with a big block in it... Wonder if it would affect the handling enough to make it sluggish in turns.

Not sure what a BBC weighs, but a SBF vs 460 ford is only a bit over 200 lbs heavier, less if you go with an aluminum intake. Not really a huge difference, more like having one extra person in the boat... Sitting right in the middle with perfectly distributed weight. For most of us though, more weight is better.

Some good looking engines in this thread! Mine is going to be embarassed.

Why, why, why was I too cheap/lazy to repaint it when I rebuilt it!?

Hey...when you winterize a boat. Are those the plugs (the only ones) you take off? On the manifolds and risers?

Not sure where you're talking about winterizing from, but typically you pull (at a minimum) the big plug at back/low point of each manifold as well as the block plugs which are low on each side of the block. I also pull the hoses frmo my raw water pump, disconnect my heater from the top of intake and raw water pickup line, and blow out with compressed air, and disconnect my circulating pump hose. Run 5 gallons antifreeze through, then disconnect those lines and anything else that looks low/can hold water, and blow out.
