Sorry for the dumb questions, never installed a prop on an inboard like this.
I was working on installing prop last night and just had a few questions before I finish completely. Attached are a few pictures to make sure everything is correct. Does the broach "key" slide all the way back to the drive shaft support ( in picture with red arrow).
Also is the jam nut the smaller nut or larger nut and which goes on the shaft first?
Thanks for all your help.

The key just needs to contact as much of the prop as possible. It doesn't matter where it is in relation to the strut or shaft support. What your after is maximum contact area between the prop and shaft. I do not use a jam nut not on mine. Just a nylon lock nut and a cotter pin through the hole in the end of the shaft for good measure. This should be more than sufficient, especially since the prop " drives" itself onto the tapered shaft when it thrusts under power.
