Just picked up this 1998 Supra Comp. Moving on over from a I/O SeaRay. Can't wait to get it out on the water!

I'm in the Bay Area, but the boat will be up at New Melones in the Angels Camp/Sonora area.

Sexy boat man! I always loved the sleek lines of the Comp. I used to have a Comp growing up, and it was what made me fall in love with Supras. So fast and nimble, and just look sleek. My friends used to call it the Ferrari on water.

Welcome to the forum.

Thanks guys. Still need to do a couple of things before it's ready for the season. The impeller is leaking out of the crank side of the housing (need to replace the seal behind the impeller) and I want to change out all the gas shocks since none of them work. I also need to build the subwoofer box and install the system that was in the old boat.

Will eventually tint all the windows, and buffing/cleaning the interior because I'm OCD like that :)

I agree with Haugy - the Comp's the sexiest inboard ski boat to ever hit the water. Pretty in all white. Congrats & enjoy!

Thanks! It is possible to have all 3 seats back there, but they have to be staggered, and the corner seats have to be up against the corner. It was definitely a selling point on the boat.

Took it out for memorial weekend. I did finally manage to get both Airguide speedo's working again. Blowing out the tubes from the dash to the pickup was not enough. One pickup was slightly clogged, the other was PACKED with mud. It took a small drill bit fed by hand, while pressurizing the pickup with air from the other air, till it blew the mud out. Calibrated using GPS :)

I adjusted the wakeplate up about 1/2" from the buttom of the boat. I can cruise at 30mph, but after that, the nose begins to hop like a pogo stick. I don't like to cruise any faster anyways because it begins to eat up gas.

Here was the surfing wave. This was with 8 people in the boat, and one 450 lb bag in the back behind the back seat. I also had about 100 lbs in the back storage locker, and about 300-350 lbs in the nose.

Also cleaned the teak with a wire brush and some oxy clean :)

Hi,

I am looking for a pull on the Delta :), I am an advanced/expert waterskiier (sometimes wakeboarder) and hope that you plan to be on the Delta or NOR CA lakes and need a flag holder or boat driver. I am a 55 yr old single female living in Los Gatos, CA
Looking forward to hearing from you. Oh, and if you know of others that live in the area and might be interested in having me join them, please let me know! Thank you
