I was thinking about attending so I called the Dallas Landing park. They told me the ramps are closed to the public during the event and no boats will be allowed on the lake. Could this be true?

UM YES BS......its been held there for years. Boats tie up! It is crowded, but you might want to try another park or try them again and hopefully you will get someone with better knowledge of whats going on. Thats funy though.....

Interesting! That's my boat, only newer and mine is all white except for the black accent line on the chine. My flames are grey. I have contemplated removing them but the Supra is overlaid on top and I don't want to mess with that.

If that particular ramp is closed there are several others you can use, but the lake DEFINATLY open to all boats that weekend!

It didn't make sense to me . I know that allatoona is smaller than Lanier but how could they close the entire lake?

Dallas landing park may not be open to boats, but the lake in general will absolutely be open. Last year we put in at Blockhouse which I think is the closest public ramp to the competititon. The ramp was a madhouse, but you'd be ok if you got there by 10am. After that, find another boat ramp near the dam or east of that.

Maybe their ramps are. Seems like this was the case in years past although I could be wrong. Surely they are not planning to take all the boats off the water. If that's the case they should move it to Lanier and call it a day.

If they are going to take the boats off the water then DONT move it to Lanier.
