Hi guys, was wondering if someone could give me some measurements from their trailer. I bought a galvanized trailer for the Saltare I picked up last month and I'm modifying the back for an inboard . What I need to know before I start welding things up is when the trailer is level how far off the ground does the prop/rudder guard sit. Also if anyone could post some pics of that area to give me a better idea of shape and angles and attachment points that would be great. Thanks.

I am doing the same thing this week in our school's shop. I talked to my buddy who has a '00 Prostar 205v and he said his clearance from prop guard to ground is 13". He said his prop guard to rudder is about 3" (he has a lot smaller rudder, though). He said there is probably like an inch of clearance if the prop guard brace was over the prop.

Here is the back of a boatmate trailer for reference..

Here's a good shot of the back of my Saltare. I'd make sure you put rollers on the prop-guard as mine scrapes on steep driveways.

I think you could make something similasr to the second one with some poly wheels from Grainger or Harbor Freight.

I'll measure the steel when I get home tonight for you.....
