This is my first post but I'm looking at a 1990 supra sunsport for sale locally. I dont see the boat listed in this section so i dont think he is on here but i'm thinking the price is just a bit high. He sent me some other pictures and a couple of the seats r starting to crack but other than that everything looks good. Any opinions?

Looks like a real nice boat, but for that price I would personally look for something that does not have a wood floor & stringers, I believe Supra went to all fiberglass in 93 and newer. I have an 85 and the floor was 100% shot along with the stringers(I undestand the previous owner did not take care of the boat but a stringer and floor job is roughly 5K). So no wood = no worries in the future.

How long has he had the boat. Agree with Fran, what can you get for 16000 that will have no wood and no worries

He's had the boat since 2008 and said the floor is solid with no rot.

The boat seems nice from the one pic. When you get above $10K for this vintage, you're expectation should be fairly high, IMO. This should be in the near gem to gem category. If it isn't, the price is a bit high.

i agree with these guys. at that price there should be receipts for new stringers and some nice upgrades installed. the tower is nice, someone took the stickers off and polished her up (whenever the pics were taken, could be dull again), the trailer looks to be in great shape (again, at the time of the pics...would personally rather an tandem axle).

if it's original floors, carpet, etc the price is most likely too high. cue the Used Cars clip...

Found out yesterday there us rot in the stringers. not terrible, but not willing to deal with obvious issue.
