Rudder leak

Hey guys does the rudder on the mid 80's take packing or o-rings? I changed them 2 yrs ago and used o-rings and water proof grease. It didn't leak afterwards but since the boat sat last season without use I think they dried out.

There were two types then. One had packing, and one had o-rings. If you see a grease zert, you have the o-ring type. Here's a thread where I rebuilt my rudder port this past winter.

Thanks guys, When I replaced them the last time I never put 2 and 2 together with the grease zirk. I took a guess that it took o-rings lol. I hit it with some grease before this season and I think it's still leaking. I'll replace them this weekend. Thanks again.
