Perhaps it is the big lakes but I rather stand than sit when driving.... Everytime I sit I find myself not seing the water as good and end up standing again.

The only time I would stand is when we were on Lake Michigan in very rough water. We had to slow down and get the noise up to see.
In boards are set up to sit for throttle control and visibility when pulling.

I sit most of the time. I occasionally stand when there are kids in the bow, or for some other reason that I need to see a little better.

When I'm pulling I sit on the back of the seat with my feet on cushion.... I can see over the bow, see my body in the water and keep my head on swivel watching for other boats.

sit 95% of the time. i had a buddy that wanted to sit on the seat back while pulling...i hated it. tears up the seat and you've got a chance of falling leaving no one driving.

I sit. But my new pedestal will raise a good bit allow me to sit, while still being in the breeze.

I prefer to stand on most any other vessel though.

Well I guess I'm the oddball. Or just too short....

I sit most of the time. If I want a bit more visibility I sit on one or two of our throwables.

Sit 99% of the time when running, only sit on the side gunwall when going through the occasional no wake area. On a side note though, I do not have the original seat in the boat and my seat base is raised a few inches so I can see over the bow even when plowing through/over some larger waves.

Yeah, good point. My seat is not original either. I specifically set the height so I could sit and drive.

Looks like I guessed right on the elevated seat base - spent most of Saturday's test run seated.
