Issue with the raised lettering on the side of my boat

While vacationing at norris lake this weekend the (2) on my 24 ssv lost its adhesive and fell off, luckly i recovered it. I was wondering if this had happened to anyone else, and what type of adhesive was used to reattach. My first insticts is to use 3m spray on adhesive, any thoughts?

They make double-sided emblem tape, but if you want it "permanent" then I'd use the 3m spray adhesive per the instructions on it.
