So last week I thought I would replace the exhaust manifolds because they had a bit of rust on them. Broke off a few bolts, and decided, since I was this far, I might as well take them off and send them to the machine shop to get checked out. And since I was doing all of this I would take the motor apart piece by piece, clean it up and give it a fresh paint job. Within a week of working on the engine, I've decided that there's no point in putting a fresh engine on a platform that I'm unsure of. While I many not have any soft spots in my floor, I'm smart enough to know that my stringers are probably rotten, just like all the other 80's comp ski boats. So I'm going to go ahead and replace them now, and have piece of mind. I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures. Here's what I have so far...
