on my jetski theres a certain order for using the waterhose hook up.
1.start ski
2.turn on water
3.when done turn off water
4.then turn off ski.

Is there a order of steps for inboard boats. I just instal a hook up for waterhose.

I would turn on the water with the fake a lake in place under the hull. Start and check for water running out both tail pipes. I don't think the shut off order mater that much.

You have to do this on the jetski so that the water going into the exhaust doesn't enter the cylinders. Not a concern on a boat. Start the water first, then start the engine.

Start water, then turn boat on... Water should come out of exhaust pretty much right away... Then trun boat off and then water off.

You dont need a fake-lake. The water hose fits right into the floor intake hose, just unscrew it from the floor where it comes thru the boat and re-tighten onto the water hose..Fake-a-lake (saved $45)!! lol

water 1st (med on position)
start motor
if hose is beeing sucked in or colapsing turn water up more. Run as long as needed. Also great for heating up your oil for changing it.
