THanks,

We got lucky... Dock and 4k lift/canopy was included with the house when we bought it.(and they were only a few yrs old- almost new)

I refinished the wood on the dock, added the bumbers and rubber strips on the very end for the boat, the solar lights to the posts, and a ladder. I bought a tommydock single seater bench used in the paper- took the wood off and used the brackets with 5ft cedar planks to make the bench.

We got a sweet deal on the house (1yr ago friday) and been modifying it since... Gotta love homeownership! haha.

I swear though, it's best investment we've made. Our house has estimated 200k increase in 1 yr..... lakeshore is on the rise around here.

and the lake is sweet. Jump, ski course and 630acres that avs about 20ft deep.. Warms up quick in spring, and never Real Choppy to ski or board.... unless a big storms a brewin.

Juice,

a few more DOCK pics for ya.. haha.

Check the difference here. Got this stuff by Behr called deck renew or something. Scrubbed on with a brush and washed off with hose.... Really cleans up the dock.

That stuff made an amazing difference. Although, I like the water in the first pic better. :p

I know what you mean about home ownership. My fiancee and I just bought our first house 3 months ago. It's a whole other world! Just wish it was on the lake. ;)

Maybe I'll save up and get some lakefront property next time.

Yup. that Calm water is alway good. Probably only 30% of the time like that when I get home from work to ski/ride.

Early mornings til about 9-10am is like glass and the best time to ski... Only a few fishing boats at that time, however WORK gets in the way. Blah!! ;)

Still, we face south, and we typically get the wind from that direction. I like the southern exposure and we can always head across the lake in the bay for calmer water. Just need to hit it right for the north winds to use the ski course as that's 6 houses down to the east from our place on the north side.

That deck stuff is great and easy to use. Makes a HUGE difference. Now I can't decide if I want to just leave it and do it again over the yrs, or add a clear stain over it.. Winter project I guess.
