Does anyone have or know of any nice 85-94 Saltares, Mariah's, or Sunsports for sale near MN? If you do, could you post pics and info? I'm knew to the forum, but my brother and I are looking to become owners.

What do you think would be a good deal on any of the options I listed?

If you can afford the composite boats I would highly suggest them. Most of the older wooden boats are in need of some form of stringer work, or will need work in the future. Only the built boats (cap off restorations) are solid long term trouble free investments. But for anyone on a tight buget an older solid boat will get you in the water and worry about structure in time.

^^^^^^^This.

The red Mariah, and Cobalt Blue Sunsport are composites (round windsheild helps you identify them). The other is a wood structured boat inside. If you can, that blue Sunsport is a great boat, but WAY TOO OVERPRICED. I can go pick up a 2001 Santera V-drive for a hair bit more. The Sunsport should fetch around 13-14, and the Mariah about 12.

Buy a composite boat. That way when you take a digger wake surfing you don't get too mad when your friends swamp your boat going through the rollers!
