Welcome John. There are quite a few of use here with some old girls. We'll be happy to help you with any questions, just ask away.

We do ask, please post a picture of your Supra up. We'd love to see it.

So this is what I know. I bought the boat last year and love it. I am courious though. The boat has a 454 which is cool. However it has a 4 barell holly carb. eddelbrock intakes, and I am sure other things I don't know anything about. Is it common for a boat like this to have high preformance engine stuff?

Intake and carb are easy bolt ons so quite common. Factory carb was a 4160 style Holley I believe.

I've also got an 86 (although maybe 87) Saltare.... Looks like you have the OKC trailer, too? Looks like it's in good condition!

For what it's worth, mine originally had a holley carb and was switched over to an edelbrock. I never was able to find out if they also switched out the intake.... but mine does have an Edelbrock Performer II intake. If yours has the same one, I would guess that was stock on the PCM 454s.

Welcome to the board.

I'd imagine the factory intake should be iron, possibly with coated coolant passages.

Another Saltare! Welcome to the club. There are quite a few of us running the battleships on here.

Looks great too.

Congrats on the new/old girl - looks well maintained. Original equipment would be a Holley 4160 on top of a cast iron manifold, but both (along with electronic ignition) are usually the first mods a hot rodder make...

BTW - I think of the Comps as PT boats, Sunsports as battleships, and our old Salts qualify as Nimitz class carriers.

Comps - PT's
Mariahs - Frigates or Missle boats
Sunsports - Destroyers
Saltares - Battleships
Allegro - Carrier

I could just see you going, "oh crap, I forgot about that one.......how did I forget that monster......Haugy's not gonna let me hear the end of this...."

Yep. :D

We used to have (actively) a member with an Allegro on here. Yeah, they are big. But awesome too.

Only 7 were made.
