Poping fuses in my right rear drain pump

2006 24v every time I go to empty my ballast the right rear pump blows a fuse. Luck I have always had a spare and it does fine pumping the whole sac out but the next time I go to the lake the same fuse is blown.

Do you think I got a bad pump?

Sounds like a bad pump to me. Very weird that it works once you switch the fuse over, though. I would try a higher-amp fuse first.....

Pull the pump and see if there is stuff stuck in it. Switch it to the other side and see if it blows that fuse. I personally would replace it is the pump was clean .
