View Full Version : Looking for Trailer Grip Tape with Old Supra Logo

Hi all - I've got a duel axial trailer for my '92 Supra Sunsport. We're looking to clean up the trailer and replace all of the grip tape. On top of the wheel wells there is grip tape cut in the shape of the old Supra wave logo. I know I can go to any skate shop and pick up generic grip tape, but we'd like to retain the logo. Any ideas on where I could get it?

Thanks!

I know what you're talking about, and unless you have it custom cut out, you won't find it.

I just use Hydro-Turf traction pads as they are softer on bare feet, and have better traction. Then I put new decals on the trailer itself. Not as cool for sure, but much more cost friendly than custom cut traction pads.

I believe Hydro-turf can cut out symbols in their pads, but I don't know for how much.

Great, thanks haugy. If you (or anyone else) has pictures of trailer improvements, I'd love to see them. I figure I'll throw on some traction pads on top of the fenders and maybe a few strips up near the hitch. I seem to stand there often when the trailer is submerged and I'm disconnecting or connecting the boat. We'll throw on some stickers, etc. Any other thoughts on trailer esthetics improvements? I'd love any other suggestions you may have!

I'm interested in this too as I'm going to be doing a complete trailer overhaul this fall.

Hey TitanTn - I was just checking out your restoration link. Very impressive!! She looks great!

Where did you get your instrument panel and dash? I've got a '92 Sunsport (dash is a little different) and I'd like to replace me cracked wood paneling and my cloudy gauges. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks! My panel all original equipment except for the vinyl. I had it recovered. I disassembled most of the gauges and cleaned them up/repainted some parts. It's amazing how far a little TLC will go. I figured it was worth a try before spending the cash on all new gauges. If it didn't work I was going to take the plunge, but I like how everything turned out.

I bought the 3M grip tape and cut out my own. I used the side that was good and made a pattern from it.

Great, thanks haugy. If you (or anyone else) has pictures of trailer improvements, I'd love to see them.

Here is what I did to my Saltare trailer. It now has Supra decals on it, and Supra pole guides as well as LED lights.
