I have a '99 Santera which has the pedestal mount for drivers seat. Unfortunately I am down to (2) screws holding it into the floor. The others are completely stripped out, I have tried larger and longer with no luck, story of my life. Anyway, is there anyway to repair the floor under the immediate seat area without having to pull up the entire right side of the boat floor? I cannot reach floor area from center of boat due to stringer. By looking at the layout of the floor/carpet the whole section will have to be pulled up(by someone else not me). Thanks for suggestions or just confirming what I figured was coming.

Can you use something like these toggle-style bolts?

Ughhhh!! I looked EVERYWHERE for stainless toggle bolts when I replaced my seat base this year. I finally ordered some from the Home Depot that were labeled online as stainless steel. Guess what? They weren't!

OP -- this is exactly what you want to do. You'll need to drill out the holes a little bit larger but these WILL hold your base to the floor until the floor is gone.

Google for Toggler bolts - Overtons seems to be out, but I saw them lots of places ...
