anybody know what size trailer bearings on a factory 1987 single axle comp trailer?

I am towing from boston MA to austin TX and want to pick up a spare set, in case things go south on me.

The only way to really be sure is pull them out and.get the numbers off them. You will need new seals also. Just did mine. Bearings looked good so I repacked. Replaced the seals. And bought spare bearing set and a seal.

Is it a SMP trailer? I had a lot of trouble getting bearings ,races and seals for mine each part has to be ordered individually . I have the part numbers if you need.

huh, I didn't expect it to be complicated. I'll have a look this weekend and inspect/repack at the same time). I leave next weekend, so hopefully I have time to get what I need. I SHOULD be fine with just spare grease and a grease gun, but I like to be prepared.
