There was a severe thunderstorm warning this evening, but we went out anyways. The storm blew around us and it wound up being a nice evening.

Nice to go out on weekdays/nights! My wife and I went out yesterday as well, no pic's and now I am glad I did not take a camera as the storm did not go around us!! She changed into dry clothes in the Suburban as I got the boat ready for the ride home in the rain!

Hey guys, So this past week was SurfExpo. For those who dont know what this is, it is a tradeshow that happens twice a year. One at the beginning of the year and one at the end. The end of year Surf Expo showcases all the new and upcoming products in industries like wakeboats, wakeboards, surfboards, skateboards, and kite boards. I went to this event last year and had a great time, so going again this year was just the same. Greg Hodgin from Wake the World and myself went down there to gain support for Wake the World and Wake the World Adaptive. It starts on a Wednesday for a Demo Day at Orlando Watersports Complex (OWC). At this event you can test out all the new boards. I didnt get any pictures of the new gear but did get a photo or two of riding at OWC.

On Thursday, the actual Surf Exp started at the Orlando Convention Center. At the end of the day on Thursday they have the yearly Transworld Wakeboarding WAKE Awards. This is an event that showcases the success of boat manufacturers for the year as well as success of wakeboards and wakeskaters. There is a reserved area for pro riders and manufacturers to sit and another area for the public to sit. I had spent alot of the day over with Rick Tinker and Amy Mauzy from Supra talking Supra shop and what not. Well, while I was sitting in the public seating area, Amy waved me over to the table and asked if I would join them at their private table with Roswell Wake-Air Company. I was wide eyed and honored to have the oppourtunity to sit with the big wigs of Wupra and Roswell for a night of drinking, eating and aweing over all of the years accomplishments.

Thank you SKIER'S CHOICE for making me feel like a part of the family! You truly are a company based on family values and you show it everyday!

Also, on Friday, I had the honor of being invited to the Correct Craft Headquarters where we would be allowed to tour the factory and ride behind the G23. While at the factory I was introduced to Bill Yeargin who is President and CEO of Correct Craft. After talking with Bill for a few moments and explaining what it is I do as a rider and what we @ Wake the World do, Bill's eyes lit up with joy and we ended up talking for over an hour about so many different things that the future could hold for us. Here we are posing for some photos that HE requested!

It was an amazing time! Im hopping all the new connections will pan out and make things bigger and better for myself and Wake the World!

This had to be the longest ramp I have been on and they closed it the day we were leaving to extend it. The lake was down 25'. I did meet Max at the boat ramp in his 86 Saltare so Supras were represented. The storms were short but you had to get out of the wind so we found a nice hide out. We will be going back next year.

Glad to hear you had a good time. Sorry the weather didn't cooperate, but it looks like you got to see some of the lake during sunny times. Tell us more. Did you visit some of the waterfalls? Those ramps definitely are long, I forgot to tell you about that. But they're good ramps at least. It's too bad that their solution is to lengthen the ramps versus raising the water.

We did make it out to one waterfall, the weather kept us from going out to far. This might be our Christmas card this year. Anybody want to go cliff jumping, it is plenty deep, 300 feet is what they say.

Great pics!! Mr. Hunter informed me you guys were heading that way and I wanted to get there too, but couldn't pull it off with the prior obligations I had made.

Is this going to be the location for the second annual TitanTn Supra Roundup? Go ahead and sign me up if so.

Absolutely! We had a small encore of our Chattanooga meeting when Michael Hunter, Karolina Kid, and myself went to Jocassee. Now that we have Bill convinced and you on the hook, we should be able to get a big group for next year. Maybe we can at least get some of the NC peeps to come down. Wspeedin and others.

Nope, not worried about it. He'll find a reason to not join us. Hmmm. How do we know he actually exists? Who's REALLY behind the Haugy user name?

It's right smack between Atlanta and Charlotte for the two big cities on the interstate 85 corridor. Connecting flights into the small cities of Greenville, SC and Asheville, NC. which are closer. Greenville being your best bet by shortest distance. Sweet, GSP is a non-stop for us and I was just there last month as well on a trip. Should make things a little easy.

So, finally got the proof pictures from my wedding a few weeks ago. I was finally able to steal them away from my wife to grab two pictures I wanted to share. Granted, these photos were really taken back in May but I didn't feel like digging up that old thread just to post two pictures. Anyways, these two were taken by one of our photographers when we went to pick up my father in law for the ceremony. The photographer saw the comp sitting in the driveway and he asked if we could take some pictures with it. Of course I said yes and here are the two favorites of mine.

Great looking boat Patrol. I've always liked the look of the hunched, muscle look from the helm to the bow of Supra boats. Maybe you have to be a little more careful about taking a wave over the bow, but the look is distinctive and cool.

Ok, so I've been real mum about the happenings in the family for the last 6 weeks. Anyways, my father and mother in law finally closed on this amazing home that is currently their lake house but will end up where they retire. This is how awesome my in laws are, they bough us a lift for our boat, full power and a remote to raise and lower the boat.

I wish they would feel more comfortable taking our boat out. In due time I'm sure but they know how much we baby the comp and that I think is why they're afraid of messing something up...which I'm sure they can't really.

Ben - you've lucked out with that arrangement. I'm assuming this lake house isn't too far from you?
Daniel - Yesterday when we were on the lake, I was thinking about how nice it will be when my kids can drive the boat and I can chill out and nap! Glad ya'll where able to get out also. Too bad about that neglected Saltare. It's a shame to see neglect.

It's about an hour and fifteen minute drive no traffic but I am betting it will only be closer to a two hour drive in all the major rush of traffic on weekends. Only a couple of more weekends and then the boat comes out for the winter. Looking at closing up shop here in another 3-4 weeks I think.

My in-laws are great and have welcomed me into the family unconditionally from the first time I met them. Such amazing people!!!

And Daniel, I get shots like those all the time as well. In fact, one of the arrivals we fly into ORD from the northwest flies right over the chain where my in-laws lake house is now. Flew just east of Collegedale right over Chattanooga as well and clearly saw where the Supra meet was in July. It never gets old seeing those views.

How far away is the lake from you guys? I have the best in-laws in the world, but if they had a lake house and I kept my boat there, the key would be in my pocket at all times.
My father-in-law is notorious for mysterious accidents. I think he mentored Steve Urkel. "Did I do that?"

Posting a variety of pics taken with the GoPro.

A few pics from this Late August. This was from a small inland lake with an indian name translated to " Big Clear" with 300 feet deep sections too!!! I counted 6 people all day. Had a hot dog shore lunch on a deserted beach cooked with Canadian northern hardwoods where the only visiters were wild ones. About a 3hr drive north east of North bay Ontario. Simpily stunning.

The boat launch was 4 miles in on a sandy path so sandy I needed to air down the tires (12psi) to get the boat into the lake. Still got stuck when the back of the truck fell into a sink hole flooding the interior too !!! Good thing we were prepared with a pull strap and another truck.

|The last picture is from a river about 5 miles from the lake on the way back to camp.

I sunk my truck like that last year..... WITHOUT the trailer on it! Just had a jet ski in the back and my 2wd truck without a locking diff decided to peg leg itself right into the river. Luckily my friends Cummins on 37s was close by and yanked me right out.

Here are some pictures from Wednesday night. We are having a nice Indian Summer with temps in the mid-80's and the water is still 81.

I forgot to pull out the camera until we were almost done, but it was a gorgeous night. I did get one of a buddy saving his beer from the lake as he face planted.
