Just picked up a 1980 Formula 255. She is a wreck but solid and the freeboard is insane. Figured why not since the Launch needs more less nothing other than a polish. Will post some similar pics.

This one is much nicer but the same boat overall. Plan on all white with a blue stripe to match the Launch. Hope to be in lake erie in the spring for some good fishing !!

Here is a link of a smaller 233 with some outboards straped on the back. I don't think anyone has driven there Supra this hard...

Daff.....formula's are nice boats! A buddy of mine has the I think 240, with twin 250hp mercs on it. I will try to grab a couple of pictures from him and post them of his rebuild. He got his from an auction....he only bought it for the trailer really and then ended up rebuidling the whole boat. It can handle heavy waters, and will move smooth across the lakes. We took it down to Destin last year and handled well there to. Good luck with it!

I've spent quite a bit of time on a 240. Nice boats!

Does yours have a triple-axle trailer?

Only have a tandom. With 5000lb axles. If I keep it I will be adding the third axle tho. Seems a tad flexy when driving down the road. All in all a great buy, $600.00 boat and trailer ..... Figured if anything I can pull the engine and the drive and still have a trailer which can fit a 30'boat. I must admit these old boat were built like tanks. Even the inside of the engine bay has a gel coat finish !!! Plus no rot !!
