Does anyone know where I can get a good "Clymers Style" service manual for my 5.7L EFI Assault (2004)? Ive looked around at Skidim and various other sites but so far have been unsuccessful. Im looking for a service manual geared for the do-it-youselfer for minor maintenance and repair issues as well a quick reference. It always helps to know which johnson raw water pump I have before trying to buy a new impeller. Other helpful topics would be timing, fuel filters, PCV valves etc... Mostly the stuff the owners manual suggests changing annualy but dosnt bother to explain. Any info would be helpful. Thank you.

There was an advertisement in last month's Waterski magazine (V27, Issue #8, Page 13) Call 1-800-262-1954. Looks like they are $39.95 each. Let me know how it turns out as I am thinking of buying one too...

Thanks for the info. I called and clymers does have a manual for the GM- Indmar V8 but the manual states for models 1988-2003. I am contacting Indmar to see what differences there are in the 2003/2004 Inmar assault motors. If anyone is interested the manual is available on www.clymers.com and yes, its 39.95(+) Anyone who has input on the motors please feel free to reply.

I spoke with Indmar today ( thanks A.Cooper) and the differences in the 03-04 motors are minor. There is a four bar vs a three bar fuel system (dont ask me what that means) and there is a 70 amp alternator instead of the 55 amp on the 2003. Otherwise for basic maintenance needs the 2003 Clymers manual will be sufficient.

Sorry, Update on the above Clymer web address for anyone interested. Its www.clymer.com (no 'S') and click link under marine -> Indmar; etc... you can order there or at the 800 number above.

Hey Guys... I found this link on another GM post. It is the service manual for the Indmar GM-V8 for 1983 thru 2003. As above from speaking with Indmar, this book also covers basic maintenance issues for the 2004's. There are just a few minor changes. Anyway... I found the book at Amazon.com for $26.75. ($30.36 with standard 3-5 day delivery) Here is the link:

If you're looking for PCM service manuals go to the CorrectCraft website -- it's a great source.

This tip came from Supracomp and it's a great find.
