I was looking for some advice from anyone who has installed a wakeboard pylon on an older comp.
I bought a joystick pole for my 84 comp and I am concerned that the since the existing pylon is basically up against the engine hatch, that installing the high pole over top will make it impossible to open the hatch. I don't think the hatch can move back without touching the engine. Is there any way to move the existing pylon forward at all or to a more vertical position? Also, the top of the existing pylon has two bars sticking out. Should I just cut these off?
