Sorry I couldn't figure out how to make them bigger. But it won't be long now.

I am sure it won't be long. Never really asked for a date, just wanted it by April. And not so soon as I needed to save up the money, figure I am in for over $8000 - $5000 stringer replace, $1000 tower, $500 rudder replace, $250 new rub rail, $150 new wake plate bolts, $1000 to $1500 wet sand...... But after seeing the prices on new ones at the boat show, I am good.

He called yesterday and asked if I noticed the wakeplate adjustable bolts were bent. I had noticed, but never worried about it. We hadn't made it to the point of worrying about adjusting them. I think the steering cable was pretty new, throttle lever ok I hope, probably will need fuel lines, needs graphics, only one speedo works, I have a brand new HEI distributor sitting in the basement waiting for the boat to come home so we can install it, needs carb work, I have two batteries in there, need to do the perko switch eventually.

I know I won't be done at $8000 just hoping to get it out of Donny's for around $8000.

I need to redo the instrument panel. The vinyl is coming loose, but I can live with it for a while. I have seen some nice dashes done on here, so hopefully....

And of course the trailer needs some work. Needs new bunks, sandblasted, brake work, and paint.

Talked to Donny, he said it was finally dry inside enough to grind for the stringers. So they got it done yesterday. Guess the old foam was pretty wet. Say's they are done sanding and polishing the exterior. So I will post the pics once he emails them to me.

Well after ready Haugys post several times about the lifting, swiveling, sliding seat, I called Garelick and ordered the parts and had them sent to Donny so when he puts the seat back in he can just put in a new, completely adjustable drivers seat. Being able to raise it will be nice for when my wife drives.

It's been two weeks. Any updated pics from Donny?

Did you ever decide anything on which tower?

Well he said he would be cutting the stringers last week. He was supposed to send pics, but he hasn't and I bother him enough.

Went with the Monster tower. For a couple different reasons. Donny thought I would be happy with it, and the transfer case blow apart in my 07 dodge truck, and the extra 1000 I will save on the tower will pay for a lot of gas, or with increasing prices a little bit of gas.

This is a crisis. We need to see the pics! Try uploading them to Photobucket and then use the photo link to post here. If that doesn't work then email them to me and I'll get them posted for you.

Any chance it is the foam he puts back in?

My guess is a box where he lays out sheets of resin filled glass before applying. It'd be easier to pull the glass from the box. In looking at the box closer, I think it's empty.

Well I wasn't interested in trying to replace the stringers myself. I would rather work the overtime and pay someone else to do it. Once I started it would never get done. I know it will be right and should last the rest of my life.
