Gel Coat Cracking

All,

My '03 Launch is showing it's age (and probably misuse) at the base of the wakeboard tower, in the form of cracking in the gel coat radiating outward from the bolt holes. I'm sure this has to be a fairly common problem as it's a high stress area, so I was hoping I could get advice on the best way to fix these cracks and keep them from spreading. I've seen gel coat repair kits sold at West Marine and elsewhere, does anyone have a particular kit that has worked well for them?

Repairing gel coat is not largely complicated, but matching gel color takes a lot of experience, skill, and luck. Here is a video that will show you how to repair gelcoat scratches, cracks, etc.
