Depth Gauge and Sender

My gauge has been suncracked/faded so I was looking at replacing it and the sender. Does anyone know if its better to buy the whole kits (99.00) or if its possible to just get the sender and gauge? The sender might be good still, but I would like to replace just because of age really.

I haven't looked at them in a while, but it seems like I remember the price difference not being that great. I think it's worth it to just get a new unit and have all new pieces.
