Its early march. Wondering who has already pulled the boat out and taken sets. Also, when people are expecting to hit the water.

Consider this the start of the countdown to WakeBoard Season 2013.

I couldn't be more excited to get the boat back in the water... We're planning to put the boat in the water in North Carolina March 31st and I'll hopefully get a chilly pull that day to test out the new wakeboard (and wetsuit).

We are going to board on Saturday. Water temp is still 49, but the air should be 69. The boat went on the lift Sunday, so it is ready to go. 11862

I'm very anxious like everyone else, but I'm especially watching the lake level this spring because as soon as it's deep enough I'm putting my boat on a friend's lift so I can rehab the trailer. I need to get it done fairly quickly so I'm not occupying his lift when he wants to get his boat wet. So I'm looking forward to two different "first" launches. One for the trailer rehab, and one for the opening of boating season.

My problem is I have to shop for a lift again because the one I used last year is going to be occupied by my in laws Cobalt that just starting being built last week. As of now, I'll be keeping the boat on the trailer out on a concrete pad and dunking the boat when I want to ski.

JLK will be a bit chilly but we thought about getting the boat out this weekend ( suppposed to be 60 right ? ) and putting up the slalom course and throwing on a wet suit and ripping a few turns.

About two months to go for me. Give or take a bit depending on the weather.

It was 60 degrees here yesterday and pulled the boat out of storage but only the front 10' of the boat to do a color sample of my Bethany Blue Gelcoat for txnight's registration letters, then had to back her back in. Sucks but I only have about 28 more days and she'll be back on the water!

The weather yesterday was strange. 86 degrees and blowing out of the south. After working on the boat for a month It was killing me not to be on the water. There was a long checklist to work thru after everything we fixed/replaced.

The most fun part was playing with the wakeplate and the ballast system. It's amazing how much it can change everything. We had no idea what to do so it was fun experimenting. The water was pretty choppy but I think we have a wave big enough to hurt ourselves on.

Here is the best shot I got. I think the speed was 22 on the perfect pass and two people in the boat with the bags full.

How do yall set the wake plate for wakeboarding and surfing? The surf wave was plenty big but it was washing out along the top. I could see a big difference when we would just move around the boat. With 6 people on board it should be fine.

Depends how warm april is. We bought a couple wetsuits. Definitely sometime in May though. Looks like I will be heading to TN to pick it up in a couple of weeks. Might put it in down there just to try it out. I know Donny lake tests all the boats before he says he is done.

Nice to hear some have gotten the boat out of the garage. Here in Cincy the weather hasn't been too bad in the past 2 weeks or so. But last night we got dumped on with snow so it might be a little while longer.

You guys are crazy. We had 10" of snow yesterday -- and I went snowboarding. Tonight is my last night snowboarding, then 2 weeks in Mexico, then come back and start thinking "spring" (yard work, garage remodel project, rebuild a couple of motorcycle engines) and thennn.... it will be "boating season."

Seems like a very long way away right now.....

I'll post pics later, but we did finally get the boat out yesterday and put some slalom sets down. It was 'just a tad' chilly. Even with a 4m wetsuit, the water was nearly unbearable for any length of time. But once you got up on the ski it wasn't that bad. Water temp 50 deg. Great to get out FINALLY, so here's to the first beers on the water on Jordan Lake and the first set ripping it up and carving up some turns. When I get the pics ( including one nasty fall on my second set ) I'll post them up. Hope everyone either got out, or at least got to work on their boats this weekend. Cheers. JY

Here are some pics of Jordan Lake skiing day last weekend. I'll post some pics of some 'failed' turns later. Those were pretty funny. Time to get out on the water NC!

21v how long of line is that? It looks like it's only about 30'.

Um yeah, I hate to admit I haven't done squat to the boat. I haven't moved it or touched it in months. I've been too busy with other projects and work.

I still need to wetsand the bottom of the boat from the previous owners lack of care. But it's very hard to find the time. Once I finish up two other builds then I can move back to the boat.

It was 53 degrees in Nashville last weekend, still way too cold for me.

I had forgotten how much line we took off, it was supposed to be 15 off with only one link taken off. But we didn't measure it. We're starting to see blooms on the trees open up so we're looking forward to taking the wife and kids out to dinner on the lake and having a picnic on the boat. Once we start seeing regular temps in the 60's we'll start heading out during the week after work. Can't wait. I'm just not a winter person.

Amen to that. Anything below 70 is just too cold for anything.

1 month to go and counting. That is if the ice comes off by then.

Just came inside from the hotub, still cold in the wind. I can see some glimmer of hope in the long term models in the upcomming weeks. Spring will be very short lived this year.
