On vacation we hit a sunken sand bar about 6 inches under the water. We bent the prop and the shaft. The local boat shop fixed it in one day thankfully because we had the whole rest of the week. The shop put on a stainless steel prop. Is this worth it or should I get standard prop with the boat bent back and put back on.

This is our first inboard so we are pretty clueless about this type of boat

wakedude, others may disagree with me, but I would not run a inboard boat with stainless steel prop.

the nice thing about niberal props is that when you hit something, most times it just bends the prop and does not cause additional damage to the shaft, strut and transmission.

again that is just my input.

have a good holiday.

thanks that really helps. we are going to take our boat in next weekend to have 20 hrs check up even though we surpassed that and we will ask the dealer.
