We were going to go Monday and pick up the Pirata, but do to the weather we decided to drive down late Monday night, spend the night and tow her back on Tuesday.
Just couldn't bare to pull her back in the rain and muck, after spending the money to have her wet sanded. Everything looks great. The floor is solid and every thing seems great. Seems to just be put back together better than what it was before it went down. Donny is a great guy, glad to talk about everything and showed us around to look at the other projects he was working on. Took a couple pics of other boats that were in the shop.

The wet sanding made the boat look new again. I am glad I had that done. Had him mount the feet for the tower, but I wanted to be able to keep it covered until I could have the cover fitted for the tower. So I will put it together when my upholstery guy can get it in to make the changes.

Now all I need is some warm weather.

I had the upholstery done last year when I first purchased the boat. After I rebuilt all the seat frames. Alot of which were so rotten that I really didn't know what I was trying to build. I didn't have him to the top. Mainly was worried about the aqua colored parts. Maybe in a year or two I will take it back down and have the rest done. Really looks great. Still a long way to go, but it is a solid boat now.

Couple of pics of the interior when I brought it home last year.

Looks great man. Looking forward to seeing it in person this summer. Did I see it correctly that the trim color at the top of the hull is red? And the sides are aqua? Did someone make some changes on this boat at some time?

Thank you. Do you know if he does work on installing (upgrading) ballast systems? New pumps, vents, switches, etc.

Parts are coming in soon.

The sides are aqua, the trim is a faded out color almost pinkish purple. I am going to work on it once the weather breaks. So cold here, I can't stand much more. I am ready for the weather to break. I am pretty sure the colors are stock.

Congrats on the shiny new finish - looks great. You can probably thank Sonny & Tubbs for the Aqua/Pink combo, but still classic for the era. Nice job on the interior rebuild as well (mine was mulch as well, so lots of respect for your results).
