As we head to the lakes and rivers, remember to double check your safety equiptment.
Check your first aid kit, is it well stocked and do you know where it is, and can you get to it fast, when needed.
Check communication devices, and fire extinguishers.
Check your emengency tools for quick repairs.
And the list goes on and on.

Above all, Have a safe and good time.
See you at the lake.

Always good advice. With that list I'll add:

-A good bilge pump
-Emergency pump (I have a bilge pump wired up with a piece of long wires with alligator clips on the ends, if my battery goes toast I can hop onto another boats battery with this bilge pump)
-Collapsible paddle
-Signaling devices, flare gun (no hand held flares in a boat that vents fuel at the back), mirror, whistle, flag, etc. Something.
-Install a ball-valve on your fresh water intake. If any hose fails all you have to do is close the valve so the boat doesn't sink

Add more if you have some.
