Thanks for the leads! The Saltare guy is holding for $8500 so its a maybe at 10 hours away. The other two, while nice are both about 17 hours from our home each way!!! where the heck are the closer boats? but damn that Rider looks clean!!

I drove 16 hours to view /buy my used boat back in 1992.
Then towed it back for another 16 hours to home ---went all through it and then another 5 hours to the lake where it has been ever since. Still have the same boat today! Love my boat! took the family along and had a great time -lots of memories!
My point is if you want it bad enough you sometimes have to be willing to drive to get it!
If I found the right boat I would drive for 2 days or more to retrieve it.
Alternately you can hire someone to tow it for you ---often for less than you think.

I live in colorado and went to long island for my truck 2000 miles and i went to california for my boat 1000 miles. it's all a matter of finding the right ride for the right price. then distance doesn't matter.

Thanks again for all the updates and leads! I am in conversation over a couple of the boats but nothing concrete. The weather in the N/E is not helping anyone shop for anything right now!!! Freezing Rain is not condusive to boat shopping!

I bought another boat on Monday.... This is the season to do it. As soon as the weather breaks the supply and demand will flip flop and deals will be hard to come by.

I have a 1983 supra ryder open bow for sale. I have not listed it yet but I can send you some pics. If you are interested. Asking 7500 obo. Stringers and motor mounts are solid. Approximate 500 hrs on the 350 windsor engine, an engine so clean you could eat off of it. Boat is in excellent condition. I have seen very few in as good of shape as this one. I am only selling because Excessive travel in my new job doesn't allow me enough time on the water. I am in Nashville. If you are interested feel free to call me (sam) at 615-364-1160. If this doesn't sound like something you're looking for then I wish you the best of luck in your search. You CANNOT go wrong with an 80's Supra.... They just don't make them like they used to!!!
