I was wondering what the diference of a four blade prop is than a three blade and would it help or hert my boat

It depends what prop you currently have on it. If you have the original 3 blade then a better 3 blade or 4 blade will be a kick-in-the-pants difference once you choose the right one. Look up Acme props or Nettles marine and give them a call. They will be able to tell you the best prop for your application.
