After a lot of looking, talking, anxiety, and starting over, we are making actual progress on the interior. I can't say enough about how patient this guy is with all this. My wife, myself and upholstery guy all started with different ideas. We made to starts in WRONG directions and had to start over. Here is a preview.

I'm looking for the font to have the word SUPRA in red across the engine cover.

Reminds me of the Stars and Stripes of the 80's with a dimond twist. Work looks clean and uniform which is difficult with such a unforgiving pattern. How are going to tie the interior theme to the exterior ?? Wierdly enough I like it.

It's not for everyone. I think 99% of all older supras I have ever seen have had the interior replaced exactly (or very near) the way it came from the factory. I wanted a more custom job that was not too much of a departure from original. That, of course, is completely relative and personal. Not trying to please anyone but the wife! There will be fewer diamonds in the rest of the boat and like I said, I'm looking for the right font for the motor cover. As for tying it in to the exterior? That is still being "discussed" :)

While you know me, I'm not a big fan of the style, but I can appreciate the quality of the work. Very nice job.

My wife works at a marine upholstery shop. I showed her the pics you posted her exact words were ''That's Amazing'' I dont think many people know how accurate the work must be to have it turn out that way. She is glad she didn't have to work on it. Great job.

I like it, it makes the interior look roomier to me. The pattern kind of stretches the area to my eye. Really cool.

My wife and I are headed up to the shop to see what he has so far and make some final decisions. I'll post some pics when I get back.

We are going with Supra in this font and about 16 inches long across the engine cover. This font was originally embroidered onto the rear cup holders. It is somewhat busy but I'm really liking it so far.

Michael, are you going to the get together in TN or the Lanier Supra Moomba Jam this summer? We are planning to be at both events. But honestly, seeing the pics of really nice boats like yours and others on this site gave us the inspiration and is what made us really believe we could do something special with this boat. I've had these pics you posted in 2008 as wall paper on my computer for inspiration :)
