I have recently converted my ignition system in my '92 Comp with the electronic distributor kit from skidim (works great and I highly suggest it to people still running with protec). That being said, I have all of the parts from my old protec ignition. Keep in mind that it does not work, however certain parts may prove helpful to people still using that ignition system. If you are interested in anything just let me know and we can work out shipping it to you. Here's what I have....

Mind if I ask why it doesnt work? I'm hoping to get another year from my Protec and I have a fear of getting stuck some where dead in the water.

Basically the solenoid went and whatever material is inside it started leaking. The distributor was a pain to get out of there, reason for it being all bent. It came to the point where I could only start the boat whenever it was absolutely cold (would start first time no problem of course). After that, I had better be back at the dock before I cut it off again. Did a bunch of reading and from my understanding the general consensus is...it works well, but once it starts doing weird things, its just going to go downhill from there.

In my case, it got progressively worse so I didn't get left totally dead in the water. Hopefully that won't happen to you.
