I need to rebuild the bow hatch cover on my saltare and was wondering others have done.

After disassembling mine for teak work, I think you could easily rebuild one if you wanted.

I guess i was wondering if anyone had done anything besides teak, like a composite.

small non-weight supporting piece like that you could use starboard. i've seen pics on here where someone has a black hatch...can't remember who.

Can you make two? My boat has never had one. :(

Newer boats had the composite hatches. You can see if by some miracle Supra has the parts for them.

Yep, that was me.
Not sure if it was original, but rotten none the less. Had a plywood frame and hinged hatch that were delaminated with teak inserts and broken plastic latch.

Made a one piece hatch out of 1/2" black starboard. Had to grind the glass and trim the hatch to reuse the original hinge & screwed directly to the drop edge of the glass. Used automotive edge trim around the raw glass edges under the hatch and added a s/s slam hatch. Topped it off by salvaging the teak trim pieces off of the old hatch to keep a bit of the old heritage bow to stern (teak bow hatch trim, helm storage pods, doghouse storage lid, & platform).
