Can someone help? If my 89 Conbrio (351 pcm) sits for longer then a week when I go to start and put in gear, it makes a horrible grinding noise for a minute or 2. Please help. Is this O.K?

A BADLY worn out cutlass bearing could also make that noise. The cutlass bearing is the rubber bushing that the shaft passes through in the driveshift strut.
