Tick in reverse

Took the boat out the first time this season. And I heard a small tick in reverse. When I gave it more throttle I did not hear it anymore. But its fine in forward. Any idea what would cause that? BTW it is a 2002 Launch. Changed my tranny fluid two season's ago.

could possibly be your flex plate in your transmission, or the springs on your flex plate.
Had the same issue last year, my springs were sprung so - to - speak.
Replaced the flex plate and springs and all is well.
