Hay Guys,

I just picked up a comp and when I took it for a ride I noticed it is a little loud and has a vibration above 1/2 throttle. With the engine cover open the engine sounds great, no vibes, no exhaust leaks ect. I am thinking eng or trans mounts, warped drive shaft, unbalanced prop( it looks perfect though) or cutlass bearing. The boat is in real nice condition with low hours 300.

Any thoughts?

Fran

P.S. This is my first direct drive, so maybe this is common???

Could just be alignment. There are threads on alignment, in particular a good write up on CorrectCraftFan.com, poke around you should be able to find it. That's a place to start, and you can do it yourself, for free, assuming you have a few tools.

edit: here's the CCFan thread: http://correctcraftfan.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=6037&KW=alignment&title=span-classhighlightalignment-span
