Raw water intake size

I am slowly trying to revive an 88 saltare. The intake has several broken slots and found it partially plugged with old adhesive. So I would like to replace it but forgot to measure it before leaving the lake. It has a pcm454. Anyone know what size it is and the plastic elbow that converts it to hose barb? And must say I have learned a ton off of this site and appreciate the helpful attitude everyone seems to have.

Mine's a 1" and originally did not have a shut off valve. Now would be a good time to add one with hard piping between the intake and valve so a split hose or cracked pvc fitting doesn't sink you...
