Is it fast enough for long line barefooting or boom barefooting?

My 89 sunsport is . It depends on how much you weigh. It should be fine for both.

Thank you, I weigh 185. We are in Michigan so we won't hit the water hard until a week from now.

never a problem!

Just purchased the boat in the fall and the speedo's only worked when they wanted to. Haven't got that far along to repair them yet. The boat seems to take off well and the speed seemed ok, just checking and getting anxious to try and use.
Thank you for the info.

what transmission do you have?

1 to 1
or

General rule of thumb.... Weight / 10 = Value + 20 = mph for barefoot speed. You should be in the 39-40 mph range depending on what you eat in the morning!

Pretty close to max speed on these boats with the 1:1.

Thank you, hopefully I will eat lightly, the boat definitely felt like we were in that range. The one time the speedo worked it read 38 - 39, can"t figure why these boats don't go in the low 40's.

With the right prop it will but you will loose punch out of the hole...
