? aboit putting cap back on

Hi guys, the cap is on and I have a few questions about some space between the hull and top cap and what everyone used to reattach the two together.
The hull matches up pretty well except on the port side by the windscreen ( about 1/4-1/2" space is this normal). Also I have some 3/16 x 3/4" rivets I was going to use is it OK to just use rivets or should I mix in some screws. Thx

When i took mine off, the only screws were for the Rub Rail. The cap was held on with just rivots and that is what I plan to use to put it back together.

I had rivets just for the top and the rub rail was held on with screws. I had a few areas that had a bit of a gap, but the rivets and screws pulled in the gaps and helped to line everything up.

What size rivets did u use Okie? I tested a couple of the 3/16" and it seems that one or two are loose, was wondering if I need to go bigger.

I think mine were 3/16". If they are loose, I'd definitely consider going to a bigger size.
