I was on the lake this past weeknd just parked and enjoying the day with my family. all of the sudden a boat cruzes up and the passenger asked what will you take for your boat. I responded I don't know I don't want to sell it. he said everythings for sell what will you sell it for. my wife looked at me and said its your boat whatever. I said 10,500. next thing I know he left no words spoken my wife looked at me and said what was that all about. I don't know I answered. a couple of hours go buy and all aour friends have showed up and still relaxing. same boat comes back and pulls up beside us and same guy. do you have the title? I said yes in my truck. he said my sister is a notory she can meet us at the dock. I looked at my wife and she gave me the look every guy knows the look from their wife. the guy hands me ten five and said lets go I want your boat. needles to say I am boat less but no more hastle with that stupid holly 4160 carb yes yes yes . in the market now.

he said after everything he had ben looking at it sense I had finished it . and he had blue booked them and that was the high end and he figured I would take it although I did make 5300 off the hole thing im stoked and the wife said buy new. and I agree 08 or newer so I don't have to put that much into it and just ride. I kinda regret it watching it drive away but an 1989 conbrio with 397 hours and in great shape with new stringers new floor and all jl sterio I don't know money talks. the cool thing is I got to keep my board racks fat sacks and pumps that I just bought last week ill have another one befor the week is over I will not miss a week at the lake.

Do you have a picture of the now sold 89 Conbrio to post up? I wish someone would pull up to me and offer to buy mine.

It helps if you get it out in view of the general public...just saying. :p

I loved this boat and their are not to many of its kind still out their that I have found. I have to say though I bought it for 850.00 and it was bad loaded with water. after new stringers new floor and a lot of sanding. 950.00 for that and 3000.00 in a vinal wrap she is gone I had a tower from a previouse boat and complet streio so not counting that. o yea sorry 630.00 for new interior that was the finished product and now gone im kicking myself.

I loved the tower and bimini it was their large which covered most of the boat and I have to say it is sturdy and yes they ford up but I had mine fixed do to I had to cut the tower to make it fit the boat. no problem trailering it open at all.

haha, wow I'm pretty sure I'd do the same thing for 10,500. You'll have a hard time getting a boat set up the same way for that kind of money, but you'll definitely get to step up to something newer and/or bigger. Something with EFI. And built in ballast.

Anyway good luck in your new boat search!

Agreed! After seeing the pics I can now see why they would have paid you $10,500. You definitely should have asked for more!! Can't wait to see pics of the new boat!

That's crazy he bought it like that! I really liked that boat and I enjoyed your threads on it. It's always sad seeing a boat you worked your tail off on leave. I know I've upgraded boats 4 times in the last year, and now I'm in a 2000 supra launch. I only payed 2k For my first boat that i sold for 5550, then i paid 4500 for a boat and sold it for 8900. Every time I sold a boat I thought about my hundreds of man hours working on it.
