I just noticed that the green wire I have on the gas tank does not go anywhere. I know the black is the ground. Pink wire goes to the dash. I have the green wire hooked to the gas tank, but when I follow it - its not hooked to anything. It's also a relatively short wire - it doesn't run with all the other wires along the side because its too short. Any ideas where this goes?

You can see the green wire on the left of the pic.

pretty sure it goes to the gas fill to tie it into ground....that's going from memory though.

I'm working on my 85 total rebuild.
The green is the ground to tie into your sensor/gauge.
At least that's what mine was for.
When you removed the cap and put it up on you 6 pole
Genius pully system; how much does the cap weigh. Prolly going to pull
Mine this weekend to finish clean out.
Your restore looks awesome by the way!
