Engine Backing Off [Archive]

I have a 2001 Supra Legacy with perfect pass. Whenever I run the boat for a period of time(seems to be about the same amount of time) it backs off stutters and either dies or just goes to an idle it's as if I had pulled the throttle back after a skier fell. It will start back up immediately and run for the about the same amount of time before doing it again. Any ideas?

mine is doing something similar whenever i figure it out ill let ya know man...you do the same!

Sounds to me like a fuel filter.

Also, open the gas cap next time and see if it is causing a vacuum in the fuel tank. Maybe the vent line is clogged.

Definately sounds fuel related. Fuel FIlter seems like a likely culprit. When was it changed last?

Any consistency with your issue when tou are using the PP or not?
