Hahaha! I know, I know! We didn't have another adult in the boat to get him out and try it. I'm really hoping he will hop on the board with me this summer. I think he'll like it if he tries it out.

My 19 year-old son had a most awesome weekend at Lake Norman watching the Mastercraft Pro Wake Tour King of Wake competition. The really cool part came on Sunday, when after staying with some really nice folks that we know through Wake the World, he got to ride behind a radical new X25 with Steel Lafferty driving the boat! My son was not used to the size of the wake and went way too big!

In February when we went to the boat show in Charlotte we met Travis Pastrana in Buffalo Wild Wings eating lunch, and last weekend he got to meet Steel Lafferty, Parks Bonifay and Rusty Malinoski. Some people have all the luck!

Pretty cool huh?

That's my son riding . . .

Supraaddict,

All you needed was your boat in that pic and it would have been a good enter for the calender contest. Awesome picture.

O7 dodge was having some electrical issues so I pulled it today with the 02 today. Diamond plate fenders match the bed lol.

Too many boats out today. Lake was choppy. We surfed some, but didn't do too much. Just chilled and enjoyed the boat.

Hey Grog - first off, looking real nice. Also just a suggestion - I don't know if I missed it in your trailer update thread, but if those new fenders are aluminum you may need to add a brace between the wheels. Even with the support on the inside edge from the carpeted plywood liner, the outer edge of mine wanted to bend when using as a boarding step.

Googer had many issues the last few weeks with my 06, injector pump followed by the torque converter.... Have had great luck with my Cummins trucks. Over 8 years of service first and second expensive repairs. What was the electricial issue TIPM ??

Cheated on the Launch this weekend and took the CC out on its maiden voyage with the kids for a firework display. Flawless till I ran into some shallow water and chewed up the prop on the way home. Forgot on how much more water is needed on the deep V boats. Been running the same path for years with all the direct drive boats. Perhaps I was off for it was extremely dark that night. Good news I was only doing 4.5 MPH when it happened.

Sybermike-I wanted to ask you how you braced your fenders. I just don't step on them right now. I really don't consider it finished yet. But getting the job done.

Daff-We boiled a battery on Saturday. Thought something was wrong with the battery so I replaced it. Boiled that one, so I figured the voltage reg/alt was bad. Googled it and several people had the same problem, and it was because of corrosion on the battery cables. Only one battery was getting used and the alternator super charged it. Cleaned all the cables and connections and it returned to normal. So it was actually a pretty simple fix.

Jasun-Plates off my daughters Challenger. She couldn't keep the car, but I let her keep the plates.

Grogger - I don't have a good pic handy, but simply took a piece of aluminum tubing (~3/4-1" dia?), cut it to length to form close to a 45 degree angle from the outer edge of the fender to a good mounting spot on the frame, hammered each end flat to form a flange, drilled a mounting hole in each flange, & then bent the flanges to match the angles. Drilled a single mounting hole in both the fender and frame & used a big fender washer between the fender and the flange to help spread the load. Really stiffened up the fenders & use it as a step all the time now without flex.

Love those pics of the kids. That's honestly what makes it worth it. My son is currently at a summer camp and he's been participating in the wakeboard sessions. They randomly take pics throughout the week and we have to sort through them online to see if our kid is in any. I stumbled across this one last night. Very cool, and I can't wait to ask him about what he learned.

I really want to send my 10y/o to Koppert Lake this summer. We are lucky to live only an hour or so from there, it's run by Active Water Sports. He's easily going wake to wake now so I'd like to see what a week of wakeboard camp could do for him.

I love the wednesdays i have my daughter.... tonight the steering wheel came for the boat and she wanted to help me with it... We got it put on and then she said, "what now daddy?" So i thought, we can change the plugs... I gapped them and she wanted to help. I remember always being the one to just hand the tools.... So as any good parent, I want my daughter to be better then I am, I put her to work....

Finally got out this weekend Saturday and Sunday. Friday getting things ready I pulled a dumb move, letting the boat run on the hose, checking things, etc. I used the hose out of a T valve on the bib to rinse off some things and then shut the main valve off. Walked back to the boat and heard a squealing sound, thought it was odd and looked for it... Then figured out I just shut off water to the boat while it was running. Turned water on and flow out exhaust looked a little low though temp was stable and never overheated. Fortunately I keep a spare impeller so I changed that and was good to go. Old one was intact but had some marring on the surface of the impeller vanes. Had two seasons and maybe 175 hours on it, was considering changing it this year anyhow since I didn't last year. The wear plate shows some wear and I should probably change that next time I do the impeller, and I had no gasket for the plate so I used RTV on the front side of it and the o-ring on the pump housing side. No leaks, so ended up having a great weekend.
